The Port of Durres, beyond its physical dimension, is history, is a reality and no doubt that in the future will be an important factor in the lives of not only the city of Durres, but also throughout the country and the region. Always important strategic point on the eastern coast of the Adriatic. It can be accessed from four gates:
- Gate No.1 -> Allowed to cross only at the entrance: pedestrian (input-output), bicycles, motorcycles, cars.
- Gate No.2 -> Allowed to cross only at the exit: cars; bicycles; motorcycles; service vehicles.
- Gate No.3 -> Allowed to pass through the entrance and exit: pedestrians, bicycles.
- Gate No.4 -> Allowed to pass through the entrance and exit: pedestrians; bicycles; motorcycles; buses; cars; service vehicles.
The Port of Bari is located in the northeast of the old city and its boundaries lie west of St. Kataldos to dock and dock east to Foran (out port). The port, which is located in the southeast of Italy, which usually called as Europe’s gateway to the Balkan Peninsula and the Middle East, is a polyvalent station able to respond to all operational requirements.
